The Education and Outreach department at the Royal Opera House Muscat has designed a free programme of activities to engage and inspire visitors of all the ages
Past and Future Open House explores how we can build a bright future, by cherishing our past and learning from it. Through themes including heritage and technology, history and dreams, preservation and innovation, musical workshops offer insight into how we can benefit from a musical landscape that has changed and grown to adapt to a new age.
Discover answers in creative workshops and music activities especially tailored for children, teachers and for the entire family, led by guest educators and artists. From the sounds of music in nature for 4 to 7year olds to a drum circle for all ages, with capoeira and the discovery of your music spirit animal in between, there is a rich timetable to choose from.See the full programme on our website and book a workshop for you or your children today
Alongside the Open House activitiesis Lunch Music at 12pm at the Opera Galleria whereyoucan listento stellar voices singing arias from L’ElisirD’Amore! Visit TheArtistic World of Franco Zeffirelli,an exhibition showing the life and work of one of the greatest directors of our time. The exhibition is housed on the second floor at ROHMA until the 20th March.
Open Houses are free-ticketed events. All performances will take place under the guidelines issued by the Supreme Committee entrusted with taking measures to tackle any developments of Covid-19. Safety measures are in place throughout the opera house to ensure your comfort and safety.
